I am very honored to have been chosen as Karen Pryor Academy's trainer of the Month. There are over 1700 KPA certified dog trainers worldwide and it feels great to be a part of a growing movement committed to using science-based, positive reinforcement strategies to help dogs and their guardians communicate well together. In this interview, I was able to revisit my journey to learn as much as possible from KPA faculty like my wonderful instructor Shelly Brouwer. Leveraging the knowledge and technical skills I was able to acquire to save animal lives in the shelter environment and keep families together continues to be my passion.
