Education and Certification

Cari Tetzlaff graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Education. She is passionate about teaching both humans and animals kindly and effectively. Cari graduated from Karen Pryor Academy's rigorous Dog Trainer Professional program in 2015 in Minnesota under the instruction of KPA Faculty Member Shelly Brouwer. Cari is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants Cari is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Additionally, Cari has completed coarse work through Fear Free Pets to become a Certified Fear Free Professional. 

Continuing education is important to Cari and she maintains her certifications by completing continuing education annually. She regularly attends Clicker Expo along with workshops, classes and seminars from experts such as Michael Shikashio, Pat Miller, Dr. Amy Koch, Dr. Susan Friedman, Malena DeMartini-Price, Shelter Playgroup Alliance (Mara Velez), and many more. 

Cari is a member of the Force Free Trainers of Wisconsin. She is also an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Trick Dog Evaluator.
